I’m Ruthie Rei — a children’s author, lifelong teacher, and mama on a mission to help kids understand their world through books.

With over a decade of teaching experience, I’ve witnessed how stories can empower children to feel seen, nurture empathy, and explore their world with confidence and joy. My students have been a constant inspiration, and my deep love for the Earth grounds everything I create. I write heartfelt books designed to spark connection, curiosity, and kindness in little hearts.

When I’m not writing, I’m adventuring around San Diego with my toddler and amazing husband— usually barefoot, beach-bound, or picnic-packed.
